Robotics: Busybots, Mondays, 4:00-5:00 PM, grades 1-6 only, starts on 10/7, ends on 12/16; no club on 10/14, 10/21, and 11/4; make-up date if needed on 1/6.
In Robotics Club, we build, code, and have fun with LEGO® WeDo 2.0, a hands-on activity that combines LEGO® bricks, kid-friendly software, and engaging projects which inspire kids to explore the world of robotics! Students use gears, pulleys, and axles to create robots that move, crank, spin, and communicate.
In our BusyBots unit, kids will examine bots that are taking care of business. Most robots are designed to do a job and the bots in this unit all have work to do! Build a machine to test how earthquake-proof a structure is; build a gondola lift and a farm harvester. We’ll even build a fishing pole because sometimes you need a break from work! These are all-new projects!
